Among the objectives of celebrating the Urs (death anniversary) of the saints of Islam (may Allah have mercy on them), an important objective is that the general public should be aware of their life and character, morals and habits, and teachings.
Today is the Urs of Huzoor Ghareeb Nawaz. Alhamdulillah! Every child of the Sunni community is familiar with this name. Since childhood, we have been hearing about Khwaja Piya. And we are aware of and believe in his teachings and miracles. What he did, undoubtedly! We cannot do that; but we don't even think about coming towards what we can do!
Huzoor Ghareeb Nawaz (may Allah have mercy on him) brought 9 million people into the fold of Islam by making them recite the Kalima Tayyiba at once. Today we cannot do this; but at least we can take steps to protect the faith of ourselves and our relatives.
Who is not aware of the situation of the country? Everyone knows how the enemies of Islam are enticing Muslims and are busy in their relentless efforts to destroy their faith.
Today our daughters; rather, mothers are turning away from Islam and embracing the enemies of God. And we are not even bothered! We are silent thinking that this is not a matter of our house.
Remember! If a fire is burning in your neighborhood, then sparks will surely come to your house too. And when this spark turns into a fire, you will not even know!
Therefore, we should promise ourselves on the occasion of the Urs Mubarak of Huzoor Ghareeb Nawaz (may Allah have mercy on him) that even if life goes, let it go; but faith should not go. We will make every effort to strengthen the faith and belief of ourselves, our children, and our relatives. We will not be inclined towards the enemies of God and the Messenger ﷺ at any cost.
Today we cannot make anyone Muslim by reciting the Kalima, then at least do not tolerate any Muslim becoming an apostate! Try to bring the sisters, youth, and other people who are victims of straying onto the right path. Associate them with the scholars of truth; so that they may know the value of faith and be concerned about protecting it!
May Allah Almighty make us celebrate the Urs of the saints of Islam in the true sense and benefit us from the blessings of Huzoor Ghareeb Nawaz (may Allah have mercy on him) and make us act on his teachings. Amen, O Allah, Amen!
