Quran is not difficult, acting upon it is difficult.

✒️ Mufti Muhammad Tasleemuddin Al-Mahmoodi

Often people are heard saying that "Understanding the Quran is difficult".

But the reality is that understanding the Quran is not difficult, acting upon it seems difficult.

We do not have the courage to directly admit: "We do not want to act".

Therefore, we invent an easy excuse:

"We do not understand the Quran."

Something to think about…

Logic is understood, philosophy is understood,

Complex formulas of physics and chemistry are memorized,

Thick books of algebra and biology are digested.

When worldly benefit is seen, the mind works, effort is made, time is sacrificed.

But as soon as it comes to the Quran, the heart and mind suddenly shut down.

Why?

Because the Quran did not come just to be read, it came to change life.

The demand of the Quran is not just to understand, but to believe and do.

It demands sacrificing desires,

It commands breaking the idols of the heart,

It gives the message of crushing the pride of the ego.

And that is the price we do not want to pay.

That is why the excuse comes to the tongue:

"The Quran is difficult."

But the question is… to become a doctor, years are spent studying difficult subjects of biology and chemistry.

To become an engineer, formulas and diagrams are memorized.

To become an accountant, the principles of algebra and finance are memorized.

Why? Because behind it is a job, money, respect.

But what is behind the Quran?

Behind the Quran is the pleasure of Allah, behind the Quran is salvation from sins, behind the Quran is the success of the hereafter. But this success will only be achieved when we abandon excuses and choose the path of action.

Otherwise, this sentence will always remain on our lips: "The Quran is not understood."
