So brief that the heart is made with two words, but so vast that it encompasses two worlds.
Have you ever seriously considered what a person's entire life revolves around? Intellect? Wealth? Power? Fame? No, if you go deeper, the center of every success, every failure, every rise, and every fall is just one thing: the heart, *two letters, heart.* But these two letters take a person to the heavens, and these two letters bring him down to the earth.
When we study the Holy Quran in depth, a strange reality comes to light. Allah Almighty has addressed the heart again and again. Think about it, why didn't Allah address the hands? Why didn't He explain to the feet? Why didn't He scold the eyes? Rather, He said, *أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا* (Do they not ponder the Quran, or are there locks upon their hearts?) The locks are not on the eyes, the locks are on the hearts. Then He said, *لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا* (They have hearts with which they do not understand). The center of understanding is not the brain, but the heart. Why? Because the brain gives arguments, but the heart gives decisions. The brain shows the way, but the heart takes the step.
*Muhammad ﷺ said: There is a piece of flesh in the body, if it is right, the whole body becomes right, and that is the heart.* Think! The Holy Prophet ﷺ did not start the reformation with the hands, nor with the tongue, but with the heart. Why? Because the hand will do what the heart wants, the tongue will speak what is in the heart, and the eye will see what the heart desires.
*Have you ever noticed one thing, why only girls work in all places?* Today, why do the pleasure-seeking and deceitful people of the world bring girls forward on every major platform, in the media, in advertisements, in films? Have you ever thought about it? Because they know that the heart is more affected than the eye, they know that the decision is not made by the pocket, but by the heart. If someone's heart is won, then his pocket opens automatically, and he gives money happily and says with great confidence, *He made my heart happy, he won my heart.* Why? Because the real field is the heart. The war is fought on the heart. Victory also belongs to the heart, and defeat also belongs to the heart.
Today's modern neuroscience tells us that a person's emotional decisions are more powerful than his logical thinking. Research has proven that people often make purchases, relationships, and big decisions based on emotions. Later, the brain justifies them. That is, first the heart decides, then the mind advocates for it. This is why emotional advertisements are more effective. This is why love, hate, fear, and hope change human behavior. Fourteen hundred years ago, the Quran identified the heart as the real center, and today science is proving the same fact in the laboratory.
If everything depends on the heart,
Then who should be protected the most? The heart. That is why the Quran says, *إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ* (Successful is the one who comes to Allah with a sound heart). The degrees of the world will not go with you, money will not go with you, fame will not go with you, but the state of the heart will go with you.
In short, there are only two words, *Dil-e-Saleem* (A Sound Heart), but so vast that it contains the success of this world and the salvation of the hereafter. If the heart is right, the sight is pure. If the heart is right, the tongue is soft. If the heart is right, the society is reformed. The real revolution does not come from the law, the real revolution comes from the heart. Therefore, if you want to change your life, you have to change the heart, not the circumstances. And when the heart changes, then indeed both worlds shrink and come into the fist of man.
