My dear sisters!
I and you are among the members of the Ummah of Muhammad. Today, I will draw your attention to a few important points. You must ask yourself about them. Allah Almighty created us as the best of creation and gave us existence, then brought a Muslim into the world... then granted refuge in the Muslim family from the teachings of the Prophet. In all these stages, have we ever pondered the meaning of a Muslim?
Have we pondered the responsibility of a Muslim?
Have we pondered the qualities of being a Muslim?
Are we really accepting the oneness of Allah?
Or are we just showing off our Muslim identity like a custom?
Islam is related to Allah. To be proven in the court of Allah, to remain proven, we must continue to accumulate deeds with the survival of the feeling of being a Muslim. To perform all the prayers one day and consider it perfect, and then skip prayers for a week, is just foolishness and misguidance.
O Allah's beloved!
Bondwomen cannot perform worship, asceticism, recitation, or obedience without connecting with Allah. If they cannot do all this, how will their Muslim identity remain? The Quran and Sunnah are the greatest virtues of Muslims. If the intentions of the heart and the outward actions are in accordance with them, only then does a Muslim remain. Today, I and you are living in a world far from civilization and education, and we are becoming empty of knowledge and literature. Previously, sitting in a mud house and giving a slight piece of advice to a raw ear would bind it to the strings of the heart, but today it is not even being tied to one's own skirt. Remember, whenever there has been a thought and effort to take steps for the reform of society, take your steps in a clean and tidy manner. Dirty steps spoil the path.
Taking the light of action and the flame of knowledge, holding the flag of prayer, become seekers of the reform of the Ummah. In the Holy Quran, Allah says, "Ask the people of knowledge about the issues." People of language, people of truth, express your temperament so that they may work with purification, Sufism, and silence. Our society is thirsty for good morals!
Our society is looking for sincere female scholars!
Our society is looking for gentleness and love!
Our society is the furthest behind in the class of knowledge!
Our society is devoid of unity!
Our society has taken refuge in the blanket of differences!
Our society is trapped in the wires of ego!
When we start the work of reform in society, we must be in ablution, wear the garment of action, take the morsel of gentleness in the plate of love, and instill the lesson of peace in their hearts!
More than reforming society, we should worry about personal reform, recite the Kalima Tayyiba, make arrangements for Durood Sharif, be punctual in prayer, fast, and beg Allah earnestly in solitude for His grace! Looking at the life of the Companions, reading the life of the ten promised Paradise, and following in the footsteps of the Prophet, we must enter the field of education and learning. Reading the life of Hazrat Aisha (RA), we should refine our emotions. Hazrat Hafsa's scholarly passion, Hazrat Umme Salama's eagerness to acquire Hadith, the female Companions are those personalities through whom Allah took the service of preserving Islam.
My sisters!
It is as necessary for a woman to acquire knowledge as it is for the sun to rise in the day, just as barren land needs rain, so it is necessary for a woman to acquire education!
Hazrat Aisha's invitation to women to acquire knowledge!
Hazrat Hafsa's knowledge invites women to acquire knowledge!
Hazrat Khawla's bravery creates the courage of women!
Hazrat Khansa's patience teaches women the lesson of patience!
Hazrat Asma's sacrifice teaches women the temperament of sacrifice!
Hazrat Fatima's obedience adorns women with the pallu of obedience!
The female Companions are the first princesses of Islam. They saw the era from the birth of Islam to the leadership of Islam and performed feats of protection until the Day of Judgment. We women have to become strong protectors of our own self, attributes, health, and honor, then we have to have the passion for research of knowledge and the struggle to acquire it. We have to broaden the scientific and practical aspects. Society... does not rise by spoiling, daughters do not live a life of reform. A woman does what she sets her mind to.
May Allah Almighty grant us all the ability to follow in the footsteps of the female Companions. Amen.
